Andrea Nova About Me.jpg

I am a painter and professional daydreamer whose art reflects my colorful personality. Born in LA and growing up between New England and Southern California, my passion for art evolved alongside me. Following my childhood dream of becoming an artist living on a California beach and owning a horse, I studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I gained invaluable knowledge. I also studied painting and art history in the South of France.

Life took a detour after a traumatic event and the birth of my first child, leading me to put my paint brushes aside and venture into various art-related professions like hair styling and interior design. Despite finding success in these creative fields, I felt a persistent void that led me back to painting. With a renewed commitment, I dedicated myself to disciplined art practice and rediscovered my artistic self. Now, I create vibrant oil paintings that fuse my observations of my surroundings with my colorful daydreams.

I am fortunate to pursue art full time now, living near the beach in Carlsbad, California, embracing my true calling as an artist, whether or not I own that horse.
